Admission Policy

Admissions and Placement

Parents must agree to the Kay-Billie-Klaer Admissions Policy before enrolment.  By signing your application for admission you agree to the terms and conditions stated.

Authority for Decisions

Final authority for all decisions on admissions and class placement rests with the Head of School, in consultation with the directors.

Admission and Student Needs

Admission is open to all students who, in the school's opinion, will benefit from a challenging education which prepares them for higher learning and a life of challenge, change and purpose. Kay-Billie-Klaer therefore admits students whose academic, personal, social and emotional needs can be met by the school's programmes and services, and who can be integrated into a mainstream classroom.  The principals and Head of School may use testing or other screening tools to determine whether a child's needs can be met by the school.

Conditions of Admission

It is a condition of admission that all parents sign an Enrolment Contract at the time of admission to Kay-Billie-Klaer, and sign the Parent-Student-School Expectations agreement at the beginning of each school year at the time of paying first term's fees.

Acceptance and Placement

Children are admitted into classes based on their academic knowledge of subject-matter in the GES syllabuses, and not according to the number of years they have already spent in school.

REMEDIAL ADMISSION: Remedial Admission is given to pupils with inadequate academic foundation. They may be asked to repeat their class or drop back one step.

Previous School Records

Previous school cumulative records should be submitted to the school within the first tern of your admission to Kay-Billie-Klaer.
